Khem felt hopeless after failing his VISA interview 8 times. “My dream of visiting the United States was over. Nobody fails 8 times!” he shared with fans and family. However, in Summer 2018, the U.S. Embassy in Cambodia approved his visa for the purpose of helping the IKARE to promote the National Khmer Legacy Museum and appear in fundraising activities across multiple states.

Today, the Cambodian Superstar is back home and donates his own money and time to take part in IKARE One Day Smiles event. Over 500 sick children at the KontahBopha Hospital, tuk tuk drivers along the streets of Phnom Penh, and street workers near the royal palace received food and household gifts from Khem and a team of “KARING” volunteers.

It was a tiring day for our volunteers but not a single person went home without smiles.
